Doylestown Health announces $250,000 Della Penna Challenge Match

Posted

Lou Della Penna, donor and committee member of One Vision: The Campaign for Doylestown Health, along with his family made a commitment on Dec. 1 to match $250,000 in donations to Doylestown Health until the end of the month.

Made in honor of Giving Tuesday – a globally recognized day of giving – the Della Penna Challenge Match is the second this year, following a $100,000 challenge commitment made by the family in April in response to the COVID-19 pandemic then reaching its height in Bucks County. The first challenge match saw more than $125,000 in new donations for the health system, bringing the total amount of donations that month to more than $225,000.

To date, more than $151,000 has been donated in response to the $250,000 Challenge Match. Doylestown Health is grateful for the generous surrounding community, and continues to seek donations through the end of the month that will reach the match goal. All gifts support the One Vision campaign and the priority needs of Doylestown Health.

The Della Pennas established the Carol and Louis Della Penna Pediatric Center at Doylestown Hospital in 2014 with a leadership endowment gift. Doylestown Health is grateful for and proud of their continued partnership and support.
