Doylestown Bookshop, Bucks Playhouse host evening with Marilu Henner

The Doylestown Bookshop in partnership with Bucks County Playhouse announce an evening with five-time Golden Globe nominee and New York Times Best Selling author Marilu Henner at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 3.
Along with starring in over 50 films, seven Broadway shows, and two hit classic sitcoms, “Taxi” and “Evening Shade,” Henner is the author of 10 books on health, parenting, memory, and lifestyle improvement. She has hosted and executive produced her own nationally syndicated talk shows and her own radio show.
As a two-time competitor on “Celebrity Apprentice” and “Celebrity Apprentice All-Stars,” she made it to the Final Five and played for The Physicians’ Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM) and the Alzheimer’s Association. She also competed on the 23rd season of “Dancing with the Stars” on ABC, reaching the quarterfinals.
Henner currently co-stars with Candace Cameron Bure in the ongoing Hallmark Murders and Mysteries series “Aurora Teagarden,” written by Charlaine Harris.
As one of only 12 people documented with Highly Superior Autobiographical Memory, Henner was the subject of a three-part special on 60 Minutes and on 60 Minutes Australia, as well as news programs and newspaper articles around the globe. She also served as the consultant on the CBS series “Unforgettable” for all four seasons.

Henner has spoken before Congress on eight occasions on everything from dietary supplements to women’s cardiovascular disease, to The Child Nutrition Reauthorization Act, to deadbeat parents, to funding for Alzheimer’s. She is a keynote speaker throughout the country on topics including memory, diet and fitness, women’s health issues, cardiovascular disease, cancer survival, and child-rearing, as well as lifestyle, entertainment, and business organization strategies.
Henner co-starred at Bucks County Playhouse with Marsha Mason in “The Tale of the Allergist’s Wife” and with Christopher Durang in his Tony Award-winning play” Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike.” She serves on the board of Playhouse Artists.
This is a ticketed event that will be held in-store at The Doylestown Bookshop. Tickets will include one paperback copy of “Changing Normal.” Additional books will be available for sale at the event; Henner will personalize books purchased from The Doylestown Bookshop only, no souvenirs, photos, memorabilia, etc. will be signed.
Seating is limited to 60 guests, masks are optional for fully vaccinated guests; those not fully vaccinated are encouraged to wear a mask. Tickets are available for sale at doylestownbookshop.com. This event is in partnership with Bucks County Playhouse.
