Donations needed to help provide yoga for veterans with PTSD

Posted

Meghan’s Foundation, a Bucks County-based nonprofit veteran’s support organization, has launched a monthlong effort to raise funds to support local veterans who may be coping with PTSD.
Meghan’s Foundation provides a free, trauma-specific yoga and meditation program (VEMA Yoga) to veterans, active-duty service members, and their families.
VEMA Yoga is mindful, trauma-sensitive yoga and meditation, designed by Meghan’s Foundation, specifically for active-duty service and military veterans who may be experiencing symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). VEMA Yoga classes are free to all military veterans, active-duty service members, and their families. These unique classes are appropriate for all ages and levels of physical ability and experience. Online classes are available as well as in person in Bristol and Philadelphia, and in person and online in Doylestown. View the class schedule at meghansfoundation.org/classes/.

“Veterans Day and Thanksgiving both fall in November. It is a time of reflection and giving,” said Maureen Shortt, CEO of Meghan’s Foundation. During this season of giving, we ask you give what you can to help a local veteran or active-duty service member. Every $25 donation gives access to two free VEMA Yoga classes to a veteran or service member in need.”
Larger donations and sponsorship levels are also available. Donations can be made in the donor’s name or in honor of someone else. Donors can even invite a veteran or active-duty service member to attend a class.
