Dessert Cabaret features Broadway, Gilbert and Sullivan

The Bucks County Gilbert & Sullivan Society presents an Autumn Dessert Cabaret, featuring songs of Broadway and Gilbert & Sullivan and desserts and beverages, at 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8, at Trinity Episcopal Church’s Faith Hall, 2631 Durham Road (corner of routes 202 and 413) in Buckingham; and 2 and 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church’s Paxson Hall, 84 E. Oakland Ave., Doylestown.
The singers include George Achilles, Veronica Hodgson, Michelle English, Christina Margot and Kate Miterko, of Doylestown; Bob Binkley of New Britain; Tim Faulkner of Ewing, N.J.; Sarah Folsom-Kovarik and Theresa Swartz of Ambler; Wilbur Lewis of North Brunswick, N.J.; Rachel Cetel of Cherry Hill, N.J.; Clare Fannon of Newtown; Maria Forte of Warminster; Jane Betro of Bethlehem; Shelly O’Hara Tapp and David Tapp of Yardley; Abigail Merk of Morrisville; Alex Gilliam of Wyncote; and Elyse Kosinski of Neshanic Station, N.J.

Accompanying the cast will be Bucks Gilbert & Sullivan’s Music Director Lee F. Milhous on piano, Rusty Stauffer on violin and Leslie Rickert on bass. The program will include solo and ensemble music from the Broadway, operetta, and opera stages, featuring popular songs such as “Wouldn’t It be Loverly” from “My Fair Lady,” “All I Ask of You” from “The Phantom of the Opera,” “A New Life” from “Jekyll and Hide” and “When Frederick Was a Little Lad” from “Pirates of Penzance,” as well a Beethoven composition performed on piano and mandolin.
