Department of Health provides update on COVID-19, 456 positives bring statewide total to 82,186

The Pennsylvania Department of Health today confirmed as of noon, June 22, that there are 456 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 82,186. All 67 counties in Pennsylvania have cases of COVID-19. There are 6,426 total deaths attributed to COVID-19, an increase of 3 new deaths. Bucks County reports 5,567 cases and a total of 552 deaths; Chester County 3,513 cases and 316 deaths; Delaware County 7,051 cases and 635 deaths; Lehigh County 4,091 cases and 279 deaths; Montgomery County 8,123 cases and 784 deaths; Northampton County 3,312 cases and 252 deaths; Philadelphia 20,726 cases and 1,553 deaths.

There are 631 patients who have a positive serology test and either COVID-19 symptoms or a high-risk exposure, which are considered probable cases and not confirmed cases. There are 556,662 patients who have tested negative to date.
In nursing and personal care homes, there are 17,177 resident cases of COVID-19, and 3,053 cases among employees, for a total of 20,230 at 667 distinct facilities in 49 counties. Out of our total deaths, 4,389 have occurred in residents from nursing or personal care facilities.

Approximately 6,219 of our total cases are in health care workers.
