Demonstrators show support for Black Lives Matter in Quakertown

A peaceful protest in support of Black Lives Matter took place in Quakertown on June 6.

The event, organized by students and youth, featured a moment of silence for George Floyd and teen speakers.

The demonstration was originally scheduled to take place last Tuesday in downtown Quakertown but was canceled after receiving online threats. Police worked with organizers to move the demonstration to Saturday at the park at Fourth Street.
