Posted

The Dementia Society of America President and Founder Kevin Jameson recently surprised Natalie Joy Kaye with the Dementia Society Diplomat Award.

Kaye is the founder and president of On Demand! Programs and Events, based in Newtown, which represents distinguished performers and speakers. For five years, On Demand! has partnered with the Dementia Society of America to provide programs for those living with dementia. The programs are supported in part by the Dementia Society’s Ginny Gives Grants program.

Ginny Gives was established in the name of a vivacious woman who died prematurely from dementia. The grant program aims to enhance the quality of life for those living with dementia, their caregivers and the public, by underwriting events and activities in nursing homes, continuing care residential communities, and elsewhere in the Dementia community.

The Diplomat Award honors Kaye’s ongoing and exceptional efforts to provide music programming.

On Demand! talent who have performed as part of the Ginny Gives Grants program include violinist Claudia Pellegrini, pianist-vocalists Jeff Dershin, George Sinkler, Marc Sherman and Avi Wisnia, multi-instrumentalist Courtney Colletti and harpist Mary Groce. The mission of On Demand! is to provide programs that inspire, enrich and promote positive change.
