Delaware Valley Music Club hosts concert by Steinway artist Zhenni Li-Cohen

Posted

Zhenni Li-Cohen will perform at Delaware Valley Music Club’s Spring concert May 5, at High View Farm in Pipersville.

A prominent Steinway Artist, represented by Astral Artists, Li-Cohen has won rave reviews for her performances at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall and Philadelphia’s Kimmel Center. She garnered worldwide recognition as the winner of the 2017 New York Concert Artists Worldwide Debut Audition, as well as numerous piano competitions in France, Norway and Russia. She holds degrees from the Juilliard School, Yale, and McGill universities.

Li-Cohen is passionate about memorializing lesser-known works and sharing them with a greater audience.

The program she will play at the music club’s spring concert, in addition to music by Beethoven and J.S. Bach, will include three preludes by Sergei Bortkiewicz, a Ukranian-Polish Romantic composer of the late 19th century, whose life was constantly plagued by the horrors of war. She is working on a recording of this composer’s work with the Steinway &Sons label, titled “Une Lettre.”

Following the concert, club members and guests will have the opportunity to meet with the artist, and dine on individually wrapped refreshments.

Admission is free for club members; with a $15 fee for guests and the general public.

High View Farm is located at 61 E. Dark Hollow Road, off Route 32 in Pipersville.
