Delaware Valley Regional High School in Frenchtown, N.J., will present “Urinetown, the Musical” Thursday, Feb. 28 through Saturday, March 2.
“It’s a great musical with a bad name,” said Director Clinton Ambs.
In between the Saturday performances, there will be a dinner from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria to benefit the Del Val Hall of Fame for the Arts, which will induct its first honorees in May. It will cost $15 for adults and $12 for children under 12.
Catered by Café Maria, the menu includes pasta, meatballs, salad, bread, beverages and desserts. It will be hosted by the National Honor Society, and include a silent auction. For reservations, email NHS@dvrhs.org by Feb. 25.
Thai Branowski of Alexandria Township portrays Bobby Strong, a young urinal attendant who rebels against the powers-that-be in this offbeat dystopia. Bobby is in love with Hope (played by Ashley Henderson of Holland Township, the beautiful daughter of evil corporate bigwig Cladwell B. Cladwell (Hunter Trstensky).
There will be a free performance for senior citizens at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, and regular performances at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28 through Saturday, March 2, with an additional performance at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 2.
