Delaware River Mill Society cancels Progressive Dinner

Posted

The Delaware River Mill Society has canceled its 2020 Progressive Dinner due to ongoing concerns about the global pandemic.

The 2021 event is scheduled for April 10.

The Progressive Dinner is the Mill’s biggest fundraiser of the year, making it possible for the Society to maintain its facilities for a variety of uses. From private events and art shows, to free community talks to yoga classes, the Mill welcomes thousands of visitors each year, boosting tourism for the region and beyond.

The Progressive Dinner typically includes an auction and cocktail reception at the Mill before heading out to the homes of supporters.

The Mill’s facilities are part of the D&R Canal State Park, which is now open, in accordance with Gov. Phil Murphy’s most recent executive order. This will include the reopening of the buildings in July for use for smaller-scale events. Visitors are “strongly” urged to wear a mask, wash their hands frequently and remain six feet apart at events.

The situation continues to change frequently. Check the Society’s website and social media pages for the most up-to-date information.

Support for the Mill, especially during this difficult period, is more important than ever. Sponsorship and tickets for this year will still apply for the 2021 event. However, those who would like a refund can contact Beth Japchen, executive director, at beth@prallsvillemills.org.
