Join DCP Theatre when it presents the comedy “Mrs. California” by Doris Baizley Aug. 18 to 28.

Set in pre-women’s lib 1955, “Mrs. California” is a peek into the past as homemakers vie for the title of the ideal woman – a “happy, good, and beautiful homemaker.” Judged in categories such as ironing, sewing and cooking, the competition is cutthroat and culminates when Dot, a finalist, follows her conscience instead of the rules.

Shows are at 8 p.m. Aug 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 27 and 2 p.m. Aug 21 and 28.

Tickets are $18 for adults, $16 for seniors, students, and children under 12 – at the door, at dcptheatre.com or at 215-234-0966. Groups of 10 or more may email boxoffice@dcptheatre.com for a reduced rate. DCP Theatre is located at 795 Ridge Road, Telford.
