Total cumulative COVID-19 cases in Pennsylvania at 2,800,317

Harrisburg - The Pennsylvania Department of Health today confirmed that on April 19, there were 1,359 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide cumulative total cases to 2,800,317.

There were six new deaths identified by the Pennsylvania death registry and reported for a cumulative total of 44,539 deaths attributed to COVID-19.

There are 2,320,821 confirmed cases and 479,496 who have a positive viral antigen test and are considered probable cases. There are 6,188,278 individuals who have tested negative to date.

The department continues to urge Pennsylvanians to follow CDC guidance for wearing a mask where required by law, rules, and regulations, including health care, local business and workplace guidance. For the protection of themselves and others, individuals who have not yet been vaccinated or are partially vaccinated, are still encouraged to wear a mask when in public.

  • Bucks County: 123,863 cases and 1,890 deaths
  • Chester County: 92,529 cases and 1,148 deaths
  • Delaware County: 110,730 cases and 1,870 deaths
  • Lehigh County: 89,820 cases and 1,235 deaths
  • Montgomery County: 153,749 cases and 2,313 deaths
  • Northampton County: 79,966 cases and 1,089 deaths
  • Philadelphia: 311,553 cases and 5,086 deaths

The Department of Health continues to provide the public with extensive and frequently updated data on both the COVID-19 dashboard and the vaccine dashboard. Both dashboards provide an interactive experience for the user to review statewide and local-level data updated daily.

The department will continue to provide data via online dashboards; however, starting in late April, the dashboards will be updated on a weekly basis.
