Council Rock South rallied from 10 points down to beat Quakertown 20-17 Friday for its fourth win of the season.
After giving up a touchdown early in the game, the host Panthers scored 17 straight points for a 17-7 advantage heading into halftime. CR South’s Chase Myers narrowed Quakertown’s lead to just four points on a score in the third quarter and teammate Chase Ennis completed the comeback for the Golden Hawks on a quarterback sneak late in the fourth quarter.
With the Week 5 victory, Council Rock South (4-1) has already matched its win total for 2022. The Golden Hawks will look to eclipse that number at Hatboro-Horsham Friday. Quakertown (2-3) visits Souderton the same day.
