The Council Rock Board of School Directors announced its intentions to formally name Dr. Andrew J. Sanko as the district’s next Superintendent of Schools at a meeting of the board to be announced in the coming days, subject to the execution of a mutually agreed upon contract.
Dr. Sanko is a 33 year employee of the Council Rock School District, beginning his career as a classroom teacher. He has served as a principal and currently holds the position of Council Rock’s Director of K-12 Education.
Dr. Sanko said in a statement about being offered the postion, "It is an honor and privilege to be a part of the Council Rock community and work on behalf of our treasured students. My belief is that with a renewed commitment to trust, unity, and collaboration, Council Rock can continue to provide an unparalleled educational experience by keeping 'Students First. Always.'"
Dr. Sanko’s selection for appointment as Council Rock’s Superintendent follows a national executive search for qualified candidates facilitated by the Bucks County Intermediate Unit (Bucks IU).
