Could activated charcoal help Froelich’s situation?

Posted

While reading your recent (March 9) headline article regarding the issues between Froelich’s mulching ventureand the surrounding area, I wondered if something else I had recently seen may alleviate the problem and result n a win-win for both the farmer and the community.

That possible solution came to me from a YouTube video that I had watched on biochar. The web link is:

Biochar or activated charcoal not only works to remove contaminates from water, but also can filter the air - thereby removing the odor produced by the mulching. Furthermore, once the biochar has done its job it can be used to enrich the soil so the farmers will have healthier crops and a more abundant yield.
