Cook the Book is back


Cook the Book resumes this month at the Grundy Library in Bristol.

Exploring healthy eating recipes, the program, to be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, is a great opportunity for cooks of all ages, skill levels, and interests to share their love of cooking while trying new recipes from the library’s cookbook collection.

To participate, begin by registering in-person, online at or by calling 215-788-7891, then visit the Grundy Library and choose a recipe from among the four cookbooks selected for the discussion. Staff will photocopy your selected recipe, give you a copy, and keep a copy on-hand to avoid duplicated recipes. Lastly, make your chosen recipe and bring it to the meeting.

While sampling and tasting the various foods, participants will discuss techniques and any substitutions used in making the recipe. The Library provides plates, napkins and utensils. Pre-registration is required.
