WDVR-FM, the local public radio station, will replay an interview with Elizabeth Bowman, the Compleat Gardener, on the “Into the Garden” show, 5 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 24.
The interview from a few years ago, along with other appearances, is a special tribute to the Herald columnist, who died suddenly last week.
She wrote the garden column “Tips for the Compleat Gardener” at this paper for many years. Witty and knowlegeable, she was known for her unique view of gardening and promoting natural landscapes.
“Having had the privilege of having her on our show many times, I felt it was the least we could do for her readers to rebroadcast her wonderful interview with then co-host Leslie Bean, and selections of her poetry readings.” said Carl Molter, who hosts the show along with co-host Phil Getty.
