Community invited to participate in Comcast Cares Day

Comcast hosts its 18th annual Comcast Cares Day Saturday, May 4, which includes a number of projects in Bucks County.

Members of the community are encouraged to join Comcast employees, their family and friends and their community partners at any of the project sites. The day includes a number of “green” projects. Bucks County projects are as follows:

*Cancer Support Community Greater Philadelphia (Gilda’s Club), 200 Kirk Road, Warminster, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., to refresh the facility with outdoor and indoor cleanup and organizational projects;

*Detective Christopher Jones Memorial Park with Middletown Township, 499 Beechwood Ave., Langhorne, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., to perform park maintenance tasks;

*Lance Corporal Harry J. Simmons Jr. Memorial Park with Middletown Township, 898 Brownsville Road, Langhorne, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., for gardening and landscaping;

*Washington Crossing Historic Park with Friends of Washington Crossing Park, 1112 River Road, Washington Crossing, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., to help beautify the park; and

*Lower Makefield Township Nature Trail, 1050 Edgewood Road, Morrisville, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., to clear the approximately 0.3-mile trail for summer and re-work a small native plant garden in front of the Lower Makefield Municipal Building.
