Why is it that federal holidays are only for federal, state, city, banks and education employees?
They enjoy many three-day weekends as the common worker toils on. Are these holidays just for them? I think so.
Went to the bank this a.m., it was closed. Also, no mail today. Didn’t anybody notice these holidays are earmarked for government employees only? How can that be? The working stiffs will show up to the job and be expected to produce.
I worked in the newspaper field all my life and there was no such thing as a holiday. If it didn’t fall on your day off you didn’t get it, Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, etc., etc. Amen.
