Common Threads showcases local immigrant talent

Posted

“Common Threads 7: Sanctuary,” continuing through Feb. 23, in the BSB Gallery, 143 E. State St., Trenton, N.J., tells a story of American artists, who were not born in America, but instead chose to become American citizens.

“Common Threads 7” is a celebration of the rich tapestry of immigration and the American story. C.A. Shofed’s “Common Threads” was established in 2013, to showcase the work of Trenton-area artists, and artists influenced and inspired by the Trenton art scene.

A panel discussion featuring participating artists will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. Feb. 9.

BSB Gallery has partnered with Artworks Trenton for this very last rendition of Common Threads. Each of the exhibiting artists also will be featured in the ArtLab Gallery of Artworks in tandem with the exhibit at BSB Gallery.

BSB Gallery is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Visit online or contact bsbgallery@trenton-downtown.com.
