A thunderstorm arrived in the afternoon but the sky was clear for the start of the Riverside Symphonia’s Concert Under the Stars Saturday. Midway through the concert however, the audience crowded under canopies or pulled out umbrellas. Music Director Mariusz Smolij shortened the program but the intrepid musicians stayed for the “1812 Overture” and “Stars and Stripes Forever” finale with fireworks.
