Students from across the region were recognized by their respective colleges and universities.

Albright College

Caitlin M. Bedesem of Bensalem, earned an Albright College Master of Arts degree in early childhood education. A graduate of Archbishop Wood High School, Bedesem graduated as a member of the Class of 2022.

Zach Chan of Quakertown earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. A graduate of Quakertown Community Senior High School, Chan majored in theater with a minor in music.

Hannah Elizabeth Portuguez of Fountainville earned a Bachelor of Science degree, magna cum laude. A graduate of Pennridge High School, Portuguez majored in business administration, communications: public relations and advertising.

Ryan Lawrence Rapp of Perkasie earned a Bachelor of Science degree. A graduate of Pennridge High School, Rapp majored in accounting economics and finance: financial analyst.

William Joseph Turk of Morrisville earned a Bachelor of Science degree. A graduate of Pennsbury High School, Turk majored in business administration: finance.

Bloomsburg University

Damian Melendez-Andriulli of Sellersville was one of 19 graduates from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvani’s First World Graduation Ceremony.

The bi-annual First World ceremony is celebrated each fall and spring to congratulate the achievements – academic and leadership roles – of BU's multicultural students at the baccalaureate and graduate degree levels.

Collin Colflesh, a resident of Chalfont, was among over 600 students who graduated from Bob Jones University.

Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine

Georgia Institute of Technology

The Georgia Institute of Technology presented degrees to more than 4,500 undergraduate and graduate students during the Institute's 262nd Commencement exercises at Bobby Dodd Stadium.

Georgia State University

A local student graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree and a perfect 4.0 grade point average.

Jack Henry Haring, a criminology and economics major from Perkasie, is the son of Dianemarie Haring and Jay Kantrowitz. He is a 2018 graduate of Pennridge High School. He is the recipient of the Sutton Scholarship and was a member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia honor society, Mu Phi Epsilon honor society and the IUP Marching Band.

Local residents were among the 62 members of the University of Scranton's undergraduate Class of 2022 honored for academic excellence, service or both at a Class Night ceremony on campus May 20.

Recognized at the ceremony were members of the Class of 2022 who received student Fulbright Awards, including Crysta O'Donnell of Riegelsville, who won an English Teaching Assistantship to Andorra.

Students recognized were: Alexa Nyx Baldon of Langhorne. Baldon, recipient of the Excellence in Applied Computing Award, earned a bachelor's degree in applied computing with a minor in business analytics. In January 2022, Baldon began her full-time position at Mastercard as a DevOps Engineer in New York City. She is a graduate of 21st Century Cyber Charter School, Downingtown.

Charles Dominick of Langhorne was the recipient of the Excellence in Biochemistry, Cellular and Molecular Biology Award, earned a bachelor's degree in biochemistry, cell and molecular biology. In the future, he plans to pursue either a master’s or doctorate degree. He is a graduate of Neshaminy High School in Langhorne.
