ChamberFest offers pre-concert reception and two ways to listen

Posted

Concordia ChamberFest takes place Saturday, Sept. 18, with a twist on its typical event.
The grounds of Glen Oaks Farm will be open to ticket holders at 5:30 p.m. for a pre-concert reception, which will include wine, Prosecco, and a gourmet picnic box full of delectable appetizers. Bring a blanket and find a spot outside.
In the event of bad weather, the spacious first floor of the barn will be available for picnicking.
Doors will open for the concert at 6:45 p.m., and the concert will begin at 7 p.m. sharp. Once indoors, Concordia asks everyone to observe strict COVID protocols: masks will be required for the safety of audience members, volunteers and the musicians.
The program for Cloudspotting includes: “American Haiku” for viola and cello by Paul Wiancko; “String Trio” by Jean Cras; A World Premier Concordia Commission “Clouds of Gill” - Trio for clarinet, violin and cello by Paul Wianck.

Performers are: Romie de Guise-Langlois on clarinet; Jesse Mills on violin; Milena Pajaro-van de Stadt on viola; and Michelle Djokic on cello.
Once again, Concordia will offer online access to its concerts this season. Through its digital format last year, Concordia was able to reach many new friends across the country, so if you can’t make it, or feel uncomfortable attending live concerts, you will be able to enjoy the performances on Concordia’s website.
The concerts will air one week after the live event and will remain on the website throughout the season. To purchase a Digital Stage Pass for the ChamberFest, or a Digital Stage Season Pass, visit ConcordiaPlayers.org. Online access to the concerts will be available at no extra cost to all in-person ticket holders.
