Calvin Kim was honored as a 2022 recipient of the College of William and Mary’s Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award.

Kim received the award at commencement exercises earlier this year.

A Chalfont native, he attended Simon Butler Elementary, Unami Middle School and graduated from Central Bucks South High School in 2018.

The Sullivan Award, presented to Kim by college President Katherine Row, is given in recognition of influence for good, taking into consideration such characteristics of heart, mind and conduct as evince a spirit of love and helpfulness to other men and women. It is awarded each year to two individuals from the graduating student body and to a third person who has a close relationship to the university.

Kim, who double majored in sociology and Asian and Pacific Islander American studies, was honored with the award for being a Freeman Fellow his sophomore year as well as numerous other services, academic performance and community outreach.
