A Chalfont father and son have been charged with working together to buy and sell drugs to people the son knew.
Following a months-long investigation, both father Mark Francis Serafin, 53, and son Jackson Serafin, 19, surrendered to police in Warrington Township after warrants for their arrests were issued on felony drug charges.
Both are out on unsecured bail to await preliminary hearings scheduled for March 25.
Police allege, in a statement posted on Warrington’s Crimewatch website, that “Jackson Serafin sold Cocaine and Methamphetamine during controlled purchases on several occasions in 2023. During the investigation it was also learned that Jackson Serafin conspired with his father, Mark Francis Serafin, to buy and sell controlled substances amongst Jackson’s friends and contacts.
The younger Serafin faces four four counts of the manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver; four counts of possession of a controlled substance; and three counts of criminal use of a communication facility.
His father was charged with Serafin two counts each of conspiracy, criminal use of communication facility and the manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver.
Court documents show that the pair lives on Patriot Drive in Chalfont.
The case against the Serafins involved the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office Narcotics Strike Force, Central Bucks Regional Police Department, Bedminster Township Police Department, Montgomery Township Police Department, Montgomery County NET Team, Plumstead Township Police Department, Middletown Township Police Department, Quakertown Borough Police Department, Warminster Township Police Department, and Homeland Security Investigations Cyber Crimes Investigation Task Force.
