CFPA sets annual Holiday Peace Gathering

Posted

The Princeton-based Coalition for Peace Action (CFPA) will have a three-part Holiday Peace Gathering Thursday, Dec. 14 in Princeton, N.J.

The gathering begins with a Candlelight Vigil for Peace on Earth from 5-6 p.m., on the sidewalk adjacent to Nassau Street in front of Palmer Square. Some battery-powered candles will be available, but attendees are encouraged to bring their own.

A Potluck for Peace will follow the Vigil from 6-7 p.m. in the Assembly Room (enter at right rear of building) of Nassau Presbyterian Church, 61 Nassau St., Princeton, directly across the street from Palmer Square. Those bringing dishes may drop them off at the church starting at 4:30 p.m. Attendees are asked not to stay parked at the church afterward.

Following the potluck there will be a Peace Program from 7-8 p.m., also in the Assembly Room, which will feature honoring Irene Etkin Goldman on her 20th anniversary as CFPA Board Chair.

The program will also include Music for Peace presented by David Brahinsky and Sharleen Leahey.

All three events are free and open to the public. For information, visit www.peacecoalition.org or call 609-924-5022.
