Doylestown Health’s Breast Cancer Fund received a record donation of $3,935 from Central Bucks East and West high school girls soccer teams, which they raised at their annual Kick for Pink event.
The Kick for Pink game was held on September 26, 2018 at War Memorial Field in Doylestown. The two teams coordinated fundraising activities with support from local businesses and the community.
Event proceeds will benefit Doylestown Health’s Cancer Institute Breast Cancer fund, supporting services and programs related to the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and support of breast cancer patients at Doylestown Health.
The captains of the girls soccer teams recently came to the Cancer Institute to present the check to Jim Brexler, president and CEO of Doylestown Health, and Cathy Benner, executive director of Rehab and Cancer Services.
“We are so pleased to once again be named as the recipient of proceeds from the annual CB East and West Kick for Pink event,” Brexler said. “We especially appreciate these student athletes who, in five years, have raised more than $17,800 for Doylestown Health’s Cancer Institute.”
