Celebrating the Festival of Lights

Posted

Chanukah (Festival of Lights) arrives tonight, and with the COVID-19 pandemic, most of the traditional activities such as the lighting of candles will only occur on Zoom.

In order to keep alive the light and warmth of the holiday, New Hope’s Kehilat HaNahar synagogue (The Little Shul by the River) is making the virtual celebration a little sweeter by providing “Chanukits” to its members as they drive up by the Shul.

The kits contain Chanukah candles, chocolate gelt coins, a dreidl and blessings. Rabbi Diana Miller is handing out the kits to members with a prayer and a very friendly hello.
