Celebrate the holiday season at Pines Dinner Theatre

Posted
Join The Pines Dinner Theatre 448 N. 17th St., Allentown, this fall as it rings in the Christmas season with “At the Stroke of Midnight” playing through Dec. 20.

The brand-new musical, written and directed by Oliver Blatt, tells the story of a small town in England as it gets ready for the Christmas holiday.

When William (played by Kristofer Wills), an overworked clockmaker becomes overwhelmed with Christmas orders, it will take a miracle to help him find the true meaning of Christmas. But with a bit of luck, and some holiday magic, he discovers the joy of Christmas, and just in the nick of time.

“At the Stroke of Midnight” boasts a score with original tunes written by Blatt, and music direction, orchestration and arrangements by Stacy Bechtel.

Bob Barking, the town’s lamplighter (played by Nathaniel Barber) will guide the audience through this tale. The audience will meet Ms. Emily Thatcher (played by Jennifer Wills) and her assistant Miss Martha Wimple (Karisa Fulmer) as they busily work in their shop in “One Stitch at a time.”

The town would not be complete without the familiar sounds of carolers singing such favorites as “The First Noel” and “Hark the Herald Angels Sing. In true holiday fashion, the town gets to enjoy the bounty and frivolity of the season in “Feast Day.”

In celebration of the Thanksgiving holiday, the Pines will welcome guests for a matinee performance. Tickets for Nov. 26 are selling quickly and seating is limited; The Pines is offering a virtual dinner and show option special for Thanksgiving Day only.
