CBS adds Bucks company’s at home videos show to fall schedule

Posted

CBS has given the green light for the launch of The Greatest #AtHome Videos on the network’s fall schedule.

The one-hour weekly show hosted by Cedric the Entertainer premieres this Friday night at 8 p.m.

The viral video phenomenon was created during the pandemic by Newtown-based Juma Entertainment. What started as a one-hour pilot that aired in May, quickly turned into a limited CBS summer series. The four summer episodes proved so successful for CBS, the network rapidly moved to order the series for Fridays.

The show curates Instagram, TikTok, Twitter and Facebook videos submitted from around the world.

“We’ve been fortunate to capture lighting in a bottle, by creating an entertaining and feel good television show which viewers seem to want now. The ratings grew each week this summer, resulting in CBS calling with a new fall order,” said Robert Horowitz, JUMA president.

“If you’re producing a home-video show, what’s better than to shoot the host in a home environment. Cedric’s on-cameras are filmed at his home in California, but all other components of the show are produced and assembled in Newtown,” Horowitz added.

“Our JUMA team has proved they can make the COVID-saafe remote production work in Bucks County. It’s gone so well, we’re exploring how we might bring more productions to PA.”
