Step into the enchanted world of Broadway’s modern classic, Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast,” with the Central Bucks West High School Harlequin Club production March 21 through 23.
Based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature, the stage version includes all of the songs written by Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman, along with new songs by Menken and Tim Rice.
The cast is anchored by seniors Taylor Mitchell as Belle and Luke Nitschke as Gaston and junior Grant Nalty as the Beast. Mitchell and Nalty are regulars to the Central Bucks stage, having performed in every musical since seventh grade.
Nitschke, a baseball player and member of the choir, has not performed in a show since seventh grade. Other seniors in the cast include Emilie Ahr as Mrs. Potts, Lily Bunce as Chip and Nora Dowdell as Babette. The show’s music director is Dr. Joseph Ohrt.
“Beauty and the Beast” is playing at Central Bucks West High School, 375 W. Court St., Doylestown, Thursday, March 21 through Saturday March 23. Curtain time is 7 p.m. each day, with an additional show at 2 p.m. March 23. Tickets can be ordered at
