Carversville United Church of Christ donation drive to benefit A Woman’s Place

Posted

Carversville United Church of Christ is partnering with In Full Swing of Doylestown to gather donations of women’s fall and summer clothing, and new children’s books and puzzles, with 100% of proceeds from In Full Swing store sales to benefit A Woman’s Place of Doylestown.

The drive will take place May 15 through June 12, and only women’s summer and fall clothing will be accepted at this time; no winter clothing or apparel. All children’s puzzles and books must be new, puzzle boxes unopened with their original seal.

The collection site will be located at: Carversville United Church of Christ, 3736 Aquetong Road, Carversville, in a collection tent in the parking lot. The tent will be provided by Boy Scout Troop 64. Clothing donations must be bagged and placed inside the tent. Books and puzzles should be placed in the waterproof bin next to the tent.

Donations will be delivered by Carversville United Church of Christ to In Full Swing weekly. “In Full Swing,” located at 225 W. State St. in Doylestown, provides funds to support the work of A Woman’s Place through the sale of gently-used women’s clothing.

Clients of A Woman’s Place and their families may shop for free at In Full Swing. A Woman’s Place (AWP) in Doylestown is an organization that since 1976 has offered free, private and confidential services to survivors of domestic violence and their children. A full list of services and programs provided by AWP can be found at info@awomansplace.org.
