Carversville Kitchen hosts opening for two art exhibits

Posted

The Carversville Kitchen, 6208 Fleecydale Road, Carversville, hosts “A Moment in Time,” an exhibition of works by Bette Baer, until March 30.

Baer, Artist of the Month at the Carversville Kitchen, was an interior designer for many years. After practicing as an independent, she went to work for a company as the vice president of design.

At retirement, she knew she had to find a creative outlet. It turned out to be a joy expressing herself in oil paint.

There will be a special double opening ceremony from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, March 8, with live music, food and beverages for all. The second opening, titled “Flora, Fauna and Fun,” is held in the upstairs loft and features 20-plus local artists.

Works by Deb Hoeffner, Nancy Shill, Loretta Shigo, Dusty Nelson, Sally Stang, Sue Ann Rainey, Sue Ketcham, Debbie Shapiro, Laurie Scupp, Virginia Rosa, Lorraine Raywood, Susanne Pitak Davis and Dwight Harris will be on view.

For information and hours, call 215-297-5353.
