Bucks Voices is supporting Christina Finello for Congress. An attorney and psychologist, she has been a strong voice for Bucks County residents as Deputy Director of the Bucks County Department of Housing and Human Services.
This Democratic candidate for Pennsylvania’s 1st Congressional District is a lifelong resident of the county. Finello was born in Bristol, raised in Warminster, and she resides in Ivyland Borough where she is the only Democrat on the seven-member borough council. She serves on the Nativity of Our Lord school advisory board and on the regional advisory board of the Central Bucks County YMCA.
“During these difficult and uncertain times, Bucks County would be well served by a congresswoman who has a solid understanding of the issues impacting families and who will put their interests at the forefront of her agenda,” said Bonnie Chang, leader of Bucks Voices.
Finello has a joint law degree and doctorate degree in clinical psychology from Villanova Law and Drexel University. She worked at a federal correctional facility in Missouri, interviewing and performing psychological evaluations. When she finished, she returned home to Pennsylvania where she worked to improve government systems for care delivery.
She also worked with the Philadelphia Veterans Court and was a board member of Alpha Bravo Canine, helping veterans with combat-related injuries find well-trained service dogs.
