Bucks Playhouse presents Broadway Concert Series

Audiences will have the opportunity to experience intimate concerts by stars of New York City’s Broadway and Cabaret scene when Bucks County Playhouse presents a new Broadway Spotlight Concert Series.

The series is curated by Jim Caruso, who hosts the weekly showbiz bash “Jim Caruso’s Cast Party” (currently online as “Jim Caruso’s Pajama Cast Party”) at NYC’s Birdland where he also produces the “Broadway at Birdland” series.

Kicking off the series at 8 p.m. Saturday, May 15 and 2 p.m. Sunday, May 16 will be award-winning vocalist Natalie Douglas, with her tribute “The First Time...The Music of Roberta Flack.”

Broadway’s Karen Mason (“Mamma Mia!”) will present “Vaccinatin’ Rhythm” May 20 and 21. Tony nominee and “American Idol” finalist Constantine Maroulis will present “Don’t Stop Believing” May 22 and 23.

Tony-nominee Sally Mayes will appear May 27 and 28. Tony-nominee Melissa Errico will appear June 3 and 4.

Bucks County native, Pennsbury graduate and Broadway star Christy Altomare will perform concerts June 10 and 11.

Award-winning pianist and singer Billy Stritch will bring “Billy’s Place,” his weekly Facebook livestream music show created during the pandemic, to the Playhouse June 12 and 13.

Tickets to all events in the Broadway Spotlight Concert Series are $40 and are currently on sale at BucksCountyPlayhouse.org or by calling 215-862-2121. Due to social distancing, quantities are strictly limited. A list of safety protocols can be found on the Playhouse website.
