Three prominent Bucks County photographers, Ellen Rosenberg, Kasey Ivan and Kristina D’Amico, are lending their lenses in support of a three-part fundraising initiative known as “Burlesque in Bucks” to benefit FACT Bucks County.
The grass-roots organization is dedicated to providing financial assistance to individuals living with HIV/AIDS in Bucks, Hunterdon and Mercer counties.
The photographers, each selected for their “keen eye masterful storytelling” abilities, will curate Burlesque-style photos that will showcase the beauty and diversity of the local community and its residents.
The photos will be featured in a 2020 monthly calendar and coffee table book that will be available for purchase later this year. The final event, “Burlesque Live,” a cocktail party and Burlesque show, is set to take place Jan. 26.
Local fundraiser Denise Marshall has masterminded the Burlesque in Bucks initiatives with the aim that proceeds from the calendar, coffee table book and burlesque show will not only raise awareness and much-needed funding for FACT Bucks County, but will also be a celebration of the culture and diversity of the community as a whole.
“We are so honored to have Ellen, Kasey and Kristina sharing their time and talents with Burlesque in Bucks. Through their lenses we will glean a unique view into the lives and personalities of those who bring such vitality into our local communities,” she said.
“It is our community’s vivacious spirit that we are capturing through these photos, and it is this same spirit that will generate the support and funding for the incredible services that FACT Bucks County provides to those in need in our community.”
