Posted

The board of directors at Bucks County Orthopedic Specialists (BCOS) has selected Timothy B. Rimmer as the new CEO of the medical practice.

With over 30 years of experience in health care management and administration, Rimmer succeeds CEO Randall Gross, who is retiring.

Most recently, Rimmer was the CEO and CFO of PMA Medical Specialists, a multi-specialty practice with 70 providers and 300 employees.

For 24 years, Rimmer led PMA through a period of growth and innovation, leading all aspects of PMA Medical Specialists’ operations, strategy, finance, and technology. He helped establish new sites and services, including a Cardiology Diagnostic Center, Infusion Center, Pain Management Center, Gastroenterology Surgery Center and Physical Therapy Division.

He also led PMA into several successful value-based initiatives with major insurance plans, including Medicare.

At BCOS, Rimmer will oversee a growing practice that began 40 years ago with one physician and has grown into a 14-physician comprehensive orthopedic specialty group that includes sports medicine, emergent orthopedic care, orthopedic surgery, joint replacement, arthritis care, pain management, pediatric orthopedics, physical therapy and concussion care.

Rimmer will lead operations and strategic direction for BCOS’ three office locations, in Doylestown, Warrington and Newtown/Langhorne and continue to foster symbiotic relationships with Doylestown Hospital, Bucks County Surgical Suites and St. Mary Medical Center.

Outside of work, Rimmer enjoys spending time with his family, and playing and coaching golf.
