Posted

Bucks County Free Library will launch a series of free virtual talks with bestselling writers beginning in January.

“We’re excited to offer virtual talks with authors whose books are popular in Bucks County and beyond,” said Jessica Gruber, Bucks County Free Library’s public services director. “Connecting with authors helps readers explore the ideas in popular books, understand the writing process and feel a sense of belonging in the reading community.”

The series kicks off Saturday, Jan. 7 with Namina Forna, New York Times-bestselling author of “The Gilded Ones” and “The Merciless Ones.” Forna’s talk will begin at 2 p.m.

Additional talks include: Dana K. White, author of “Organizing for the Rest of Us” and “Decluttering at the Speed of Life,” on Tuesday, Jan. 17 at 2 p.m.; Randall Munroe, author of “What If?” and creator of the popular webcomic xkcd, on Tuesday, Jan. 31 at 2 p.m.; Lana Harper, author of “Payback’s a Witch” and “From Bad to Cursed,” on Thursday, Feb. 9 at 7 p.m.; Grace M. Cho, author of “Tastes Like War,” on Thursday, Feb. 16 at 1 p.m.; and Cassandra Clare, author of The Mortal Instruments series, The Infernal Devices series and The Last Hours series, on Thursday, Feb. 28 at 8 p.m.

In addition to the talk led by each author, viewers will have the opportunity to participate in a Q&A with the author and may submit questions while registering. Talks will be hosted through Zoom and recorded for later viewing.
