Posted

The annual Bucks County Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service will take place at 10 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 9, in the Memorial Courtyard of the Bucks County Administration Building, 55 E. Court St., Doylestown.

The ceremony will honor the 30 Hero Firefighters and EMS Providers who have made the ultimate sacrifice protecting the citizens of Bucks County over the years.

The Bucks County Fire Chiefs and Firefighters Memorial Committee and the Bucks County Commissioners are hosting the service, which will be held rain or shine.

A reception will follow at the Doylestown Fire Company, 68 Shewell Avenue.

The event is part of the 41st Annual National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend in Emmitsburg, Md., Oct. 8–9, sponsored by the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.

Each year, the foundation sponsors the official national tribute to all firefighters who died in the line of duty during the previous year.
