PA Department of Health provides update on COVID-19 – 931 new positives bring statewide total to 141,290
The Pennsylvania Department of Health today confirmed as of noon, Sept. 9, that there are 931 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 141,290. All 67 counties in Pennsylvania have cases of COVID-19. There are 7,805 total deaths attributed to COVID-19, an increase of 14 new deaths reported.
Centre County is reporting an increase of 180 cases.
The number of tests administered within the last 7 days between September 2 and September 8 is 145,946 with 5,564 positive cases. There were 18,127 test results reported to the department through 10 p.m., September 8. These results represent the total number of tests administered.
There are 77 cases who have a positive viral antigen test and are considered probable cases and 646 patients who have a positive serology test and either COVID-19 symptoms or a high-risk exposure.
There are 1,625,640 patients who have tested negative to date.

New Jersey cases total 194,667
The New Jersey Department of Health announced that as of Sept. 9 there are 194,667 cases of COVID-19. There are 8,439 Mercer County residents who have tested positive for COVID-19 and 597 people have died. In Mercer County, there are 11 new cases and also 36 probable deaths from COVID-19. Hunterdon County reports 1,235 cases and 70 confirmed deaths plus 55 probable deaths from COVID-19. There are 2 new cases in Hunterdon County.
