PA Department of Health provides update on COVID-19 – 1594 two-day new positives bring statewide total to 156,826

Pennsylvanians Urged to Download COVID Alert PA App

The Pennsylvania Department of Health today confirmed as of noon, September 26, that there were 1,594 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 156,826. All 67 counties in Pennsylvania have cases of COVID-19. There were 6 new deaths reported Sunday, September 27, and 1 new death reported for Monday, September 28 for a total of 8,107 deaths attributed to COVID-19.
The number of tests administered within the last 7 days between September 21 and September 27 is 193,277 with 5,572 positive cases. There were 19,538 test results reported to the department through 10 p.m., September 27. These results represent the total number of tests administered.
Mask-wearing is required in all businesses and whenever leaving home. Consistent mask-wearing is critical to preventing the spread of COVID-19.
There are 396 cases who have a positive viral antigen test and are considered probable cases and 645 patients who have a positive serology test and either COVID-19 symptoms or a high-risk exposure.
There are 1,855,491 patients who have tested negative to date.

New Jersey cases total 203,548

The New Jersey Department of Health announced that as of Sept. 28 there are 203,548 cases of COVID-19.
There are 8,637 Mercer County residents who have tested positive for COVID-19 and 600 people have died. In Mercer County, there are 9 new cases and also 36 probable deaths from COVID-19. Hunterdon County reports 1,321 cases and 71 confirmed deaths plus 54 probable deaths from COVID-19. There are 9 new cases in Hunterdon County.
In the state, 3,512,568 have been tested.
