PA Department of Health provides update on COVID-19 -- 776 new positives bring statewide total to 146,990
The Pennsylvania Department of Health today confirmed as of noon, Sept. 16, that there are 776 additional two-day positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 146,990. All 67 counties in Pennsylvania have cases of COVID-19. There are 7,903 total deaths attributed to COVID-19, an increase of 28 new deaths reported.
There are 1,695,284 patients who have tested negative to date.
The number of tests administered within the last 7 days between September 9 and September 15 is 173,790 with 5,855 positive cases. There were 24,442 test results reported to the department through 10 p.m., September 15. These results represent the total number of tests administered.
There are 205 cases who have a positive viral antigen test and are considered probable cases and 646 patients who have a positive serology test and either COVID-19 symptoms or a high-risk exposure.
There are 1,708,131 patients who have tested negative to date.

New Jersey cases total 197,792
The New Jersey Department of Health announced that as of Sept. 9 there are 197,792 cases of COVID-19. There are 8,526 Mercer County residents who have tested positive for COVID-19 and 598 people have died. In Mercer County, there are 15 new cases and also 36 probable deaths from COVID-19. Hunterdon County reports 1,273 cases and 71 confirmed deaths plus 54 probable deaths from COVID-19. There are 8 new cases in Hunterdon County.
