PA Department of Health provides update on COVID-19 – 888 new positives bring statewide total to 112,936
The Pennsylvania Department of Health today confirmed as of noon, Aug. 1, that there are 888 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 112,936. All 67 counties in Pennsylvania have cases of COVID-19. There are 7,204 total deaths attributed to COVID-19, an increase of 15 new deaths reported.
Allegheny County is reporting an increase of 66 cases and Philadelphia County is reporting an increase of 167 cases.
The number of tests administered within the last 7 days between July 25 and July 31 is 156,111 with 6,477 positive cases. There were 21,388 test results reported to the department through 10 p.m., July 31.
