Bucks tea to benefit scholarships for mothers After a two-year hiatus, the Bucks County Community College Foundation’s Salute to Mothers Scholarship Tea will celebrate its 15th anniversary from 1 to 3 p.m. April 22, in the gardens at Tyler Hall on the Newtown campus.
Guests will be treated to a motivational perspective on empowering women by keynote speaker Rebecca Rescate. An entrepreneur and Central Bucks East graduate, she is a two-time Shark Tank survivor.
This year’s student speaker is 2021 scholarship recipient, Linda Fergione. The tea was established by Professor Emerita Betty Tsai, to assist mothers struggling to raise children while completing their educations. Since its inception, the event has raised $250,000, benefiting 185 deserving women.
