The Bucks County Choral Society will host Singing for Seniors, at Pennswood Village in Yardley on May 9.
Singing for Seniors, founded by Helen Kemp and Bucks County Choral Society Artistic Director Thomas Lloyd, brings together senior citizens in the Bucks County area for a day of choral singing and workshops.
This year’s program will feature introductions by Choral Society Assistant Director David Fitzpatrick and guest clinician Susan Johnson, leading participants in the singing of spirituals and a selection from the Choral Society’s June performance of Duke Ellington’s “Sacred Concerts.”
Kemp’s memory will also be honored at this year’s event.
Choral groups from senior programs, as well as individual seniors, are invited to attend. The cost of the event is $20; lunch will be provided. For information, contact Eric Muth at 215-534-8248 or the Bucks County Choral Society office at 215-230-3836.
