Bucks Beautiful Spring Fling features live entertainment

Posted

After a two-year hiatus, Bucks Beautiful announces the return of the annual Spring Fling Gala.
The event will be held at the historic Inn at Barley Sheaf Farm at 6 p.m. Friday, April 8. Guests will dine in the country elegance of the 19th century stone bank barn, located at 5281 York Road in Holicong.
The evening will include cocktails, seated dinner, silent and live auction, wine pull, raffle, and for the first time, live entertainment. A performance will be provided by the Fred Astaire Dance Studio of Doylestown. Cocktail hour music will be performed by the Central Bucks East High School Chamber Orchestra. Disc Jockey services will be provided by Geoff Panettieri of Party Scene Events.
The Master of Ceremonies will be Emmy Award Winner Grover Silcox. The PBS 39 reporter and “Counter Culture” host also serves as reporter-producer for the health and wellness program “Living in the Lehigh Valley,” and provides weekly commentary called “Take Five with Grover Silcox” on NPR-affiliated radio station 91.3 WLVR.

Thanks to the generosity of Bucks County businesses, auction items offered this year include: paintings by famed local artists such as Christopher Willet, Dot Bunn, Sandy Askey-Adams and Helena van Emmerick-Finn; theater, symphony and sports tickets; Dine Around Town packages; spa and skin care baskets and several children’s admissions, just to name a few.
Proceeds will benefit Bucks Beautiful’s reforestation initiative RePlant Bucks, the Bulbs for Bucks daffodil plantings, scholarship and educational programs and community garden projects throughout the county. Funds raised previously allowed Bucks Beautiful to install 500 indigenous trees, 100,000 more daffodils, support new school outdoor classrooms designed with native plantings, and create plantings at local nursing homes, parks, museums, war memorials and more.
RSVP by March 23, as seating is limited. Tickets can be purchased at bucksbeautiful.org or 215-340-3639. To become an event sponsor or donate an auction item, contact info@bucksbeautiful.org.
