Bucks Arts and Cultural Council exhibits regional talent online

Posted
The Arts & Cultural Council of Bucks County Monday opened its first online exhibition and sale, “For the Love of Art,”which will run at least through the end of June.

Typically, the A&C hosts an annual reception and exhibition this time of year, complete with refreshments, live music, and time to engage and celebrate with fellow artists and the art-loving community. In light of the current health crisis, and out of respect for government social distancing regulations, the council took the initiative to feature member artists through an entirely new venue.

A total of 140 paintings, drawings, prints, photographs, sculptures, textile, mixed media, collage, ceramics, and wood artworks created by almost 70 regional artists and one participant from North Carolina are exhibited, with links to artist contact information and individual artist websites to make it easy for interested collectors and arts enthusiasts to make direct connections with their favorite artists and works of art.

In addition, throughout the summer participating artists will host Facebook Live demonstrations, studio tours and artist talks; these events will be posted on the A&C website once the schedule is finalized. The exhibition and Facebook Live events are free and open to the public.

On hundred percent of the proceeds from artists sales will go directly to the artists, all of whom are challenged by festival and exhibition closures throughout the spring and summer.

The Arts & Cultural Council of Bucks County has several levels of membership and sponsorship, from Student, Individual, and Family through Arts Business and Corporate Sponsorship. Learn more at bucksarts.org.
