Bridgeton Township is hosting a popup U.S. Census office at the Township Building in the parking lot on Bridgeton Hill Road, Upper Black Eddy from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
“You do not need to be a resident of Bridgeton Township as this is a United States of America project,” said Township Supervisor Roger Keller. “We are just offering a space for people who do not like the computer or who need help filling in the forms.”
All persons who will be assisting are COVID-9 trained and protected.
“Our interest in Bridgeton is because the more accurate the numbers the more money we can be eligible for in our community,” Keller said. “So it is both patriotic and self-serving a bit to help out.”
The township has put up signs with information about online registration at the Township Building on River Road and the Delaware Canal towpath.
“The other supervisors and I feel it is very important to get a correct count. My understanding is Bucks County is presumed to be undercounted compared to previous counts,” Keller said.
