Bowman’s Hill Preserve prepares for 17th Spring Wildflower Gala

Posted

Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve in Solebury will present its 17th Spring Wildflower Gala on Saturday, April 25.

This harbinger of spring features a lively reception with its signature cocktail, woodland walks, a gourmet dinner, live and silent auctions, music, and dancing through the night.

Considered the “Best Party in Bucks,” this annual “black tie and muck boots” event raises funds to support the Preserve.

According to long-time gala committee member, Betsy Falconi, “This extraordinary evening will showcase the Preserve in all of its glory. It is the unique blend of sophisticated elegance, the Preserve’s natural beauty, and an important theme that leads to such overwhelming community support. The Gala is always a spectacular evening for a worthy cause.”

The theme of the 2020 Spring Wildflower Gala is “Growing and Learning Together.” Proceeds from the evening will support the Preserve’s programs for children and families.

“The Spring Wildflower Gala has always been the premier event in Bucks County, set amongst an amazing natural preserve and coordinated by a fabulous, talented team. The evening is always remarkable, fun and memorable,” said Laura Thompson Barnes, vice president of The Thompson Organization and honorary chair of the 2020 Spring Wildflower Gala.

She is joined by committee members Linda DiMario, Francine Durcan, Betsy Falconi, Dorothy Gaboda, Lisa Garvey, Lisa Tremper Hanover, Lynn Holzner, Heather Lovell, Deardra Murphy, Julie Spears, Natalie Stults and Steve Swanson.

Tickets for the Spring Wildflower Gala will be available in March. Contact the Preserve at 215-862-2924 for information on attending, sponsoring or donating auction items.
