Book Launch for Joe Coco's "The Full Moon Series"

Posted

On Sunday, February 5, at 7 p.m., join us on the night of the Snow Moon to celebrate artist Joe Coco’s new book of full-moon paintings, created on the first and last full moons of every year for the past five decades.

Joe Coco is a Renaissance Man. He has produced more than 60 albums of his original songs. He teaches courses in art and music history courses at Centenary University. And, he transforms into King Louis XIV for Frenchtown's Bastille Day festivals.

Every December, for the past five decades, Joe has created a full-moon painting "as a synopsis of the year." And, every January, he creates a full-moon painting to anticipate the year to come. He accompanies the paintings with an original musical composition. 50 years of these paintings are now being published as "The Full Moon Series."

For this event, Joe will show slides of selected paintings, perform the accompanying songs, and talk about this remarkable year-end practice. He will also sign copies of the new books.

Free and all are welcome.
